Deconstruction

What is JNI "deconstruction"?

Time and again, the media demonstrates - by content and/or form- an intent to purge Israel of its Jewish character, and to perpetuate an over-simplistic oppressor/oppressed dialectic. The JNI seeks to identify and expose the extent to which this narrative has penetrated Israeli society and Jewish culture. How, by subtle and skillful use of biased terms and evocative pictures, the reader/viewer is powerfully induced on an emotional, gut level to accept and internalize the author’s vocabulary and outlook.

We seek to deconstruct the deconstructers by highlighting egregious examples of the media’s manipulation, and by responding to it armed with a new vocabulary, a new framework...
