Alarming news has been brought to the public of the Iraqi Ministry for Culture plan to build a mosque over the Tomb of Ezekiel located in Al-kifl, a town outside Karbala. This has been a revered Jewish shrine for over 2,500 years, and was under Jewish control during the Ottoman period, and was restored and protected under the Saddam Hussein regime.
